Spencer County, IN. – Two people were killed in a car crash on Tuesday night in Spencer County.

According to local police, the accident happened on SR 66 east of CR 400 West at around 6 p.m.

A pick-up truck driven by a 29-year-old was traveling westbound when it crossed the center line and struck an oncoming car driven by a 54-year-old Rocksport resident.

The 54-year-old driver and a 64-year-old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the second vehicle was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The driver of the pick-up truck was treated at the scene. He was later arrested and will face several charges, including operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
