Banks was driving a sedan through the intersection when she was struck by a Toyota pickup truck.
Franklin County, IN. – 81-year-old Rosa Banks was killed in a car crash on Wednesday evening near Brookville in Franklin County.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 1 and Rhein Road.
Banks was driving a 2010 Ford sedan through the intersection when she was struck by a southbound Toyota pickup truck.
Banks, a resident of Laurel, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 32-year-old man, was not injured.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
