Pima County, AZ. – A man was killed, and a woman was injured in a pedestrian accident in Pima County on Saturday night, according to the deputies.
The fatal accident happened on January 31 on North Sabino Canyon Road near East Sabino Hollow Court.
Deputies said a 73-year-old man and a woman were crossing the roadway when they were struck by a vehicle.
A second vehicle might have hit the man and then fled the scene.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
The first vehicle stayed at the scene.
The hit-and-run vehicle was described as a blue 2002–2006 Toyota Avalon.
Speed and impairment were not a factor in the accident.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident.
