Pima County, AZ. – A missing patient died after being hit by a semi-truck on Monday in Pima County, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
The deadly accident happened around 9:45 p.m. on September 29, at the intersection of North Thornydale Road and West Turkey Lane.
Police said a 28-year-old man was struck by a semi-truck at the intersection.
An off-duty AZDPS trooper witnessed the accident and called 91.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The patient had been reported missing by a local behavioral health facility.
The semi-truck remained at the scene.
The driver and passenger were uninjured in the accident.
Authorities are conducting the investigation.
