Phoenix, AZ. – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Saturday morning in Phoenix, according to the authorities.
The fatal accident happened around 8:00 a.m. near the intersection of 79th Avenue and McDowell Road.
Authorities said the man was running across the street, when he failed to yield the right-of-way to traffic, and was struck by a vehicle.
The man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver remained at the scene after the accident.
Impairment was not a factor in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
