The pickup truck driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Phoenix, AZ. – An 86-year-old woman was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle accident in North Phoenix, according to the authorities.
The fatal accident happened just after 11:00 a.m. on October 3 near 18th Street and Greenway Parkway.
Authorities said the woman was driving eastbound on Greenway Parkway when she tried to turn left, failed to yield the right-of-way, and collided with a pickup truck.
The woman was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where she later died.
The pickup truck driver remained at the scene and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Impairment was not a factor in the accident.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
