Police said a 56-year-old man was driving a car when he crashed into a wall

Phoenix, AZ. – One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a car accident on Friday night in Phoenix, according to the police.
The fatal accident happened around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of I-17 and West Deer Valley Road.
Police said a 56-year-old man was driving a car when he ran a stop sign and crashed into a wall.
The man and his passenger were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The man later died while the passenger, also a man, remained in serious condition.
Police say speed was a factor in the accident.
Police are investigating the accident.
