
Palm Beach County, FL – Four elderly people who were killed in a two-car crash in southern Palm Beach County Monday evening have been identified, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as 87-year-old Arlene Rose, 88-year-old James Rose, 92-year-old Gerald Levy, and 83-year-old Thelma Levy.

The deadly crash happened just before 9 p.m. in the 17900 block of South Military Trail west of Boca Raton.

According to the sheriff’s office, a vehicle was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed in the inner lane of S Military Trail approaching the entrance to the Polo Club Shops.
At the same time, a second vehicle was heading northbound within the left turn lane for the Polo Club Shops and was preparing to turn left into the shops.
As the second vehicle entered the inner lane of the southbound South Military Trail, it was hit on the passenger side by the speeding car.
After the impact, the speeding vehicle stopped against the shrub line and the engine compartment caught fire.
Four people in the second vehicle, all elderly, were pronounced dead at the scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
The driver and passenger of the first vehicle were seriously injured in the incident and were taken to Delray Medical Center. The crash remains under investigation
