Deputies said a white 2012 Kia Sorento was driving in the area when it hit the Oregon man in unclear circumstances.
Ogle County, IL. – An Oregon man was killed after a traffic collision on Thursday morning in Ogle County, according to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened in the 7000 block of South Route 2, just north of Grand Detour.
Deputies said a white 2012 Kia Sorento was driving in the area when it hit the Oregon man in unclear circumstances.
The man was rushed to OSF St. Katharine’s Medical Center with severe injuries by Dixon Rural emergency medical services. He died at the hospital.
The Oregon Police Department, Dixon Rural Fire/EMS and the Oregon Fire/EMS assisted at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
