Orange County, FL. – One person was killed in a car crash early Sunday morning in Orange County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 3:20 a.m. on Landstar Boulevard near Island Cove Drive.
A 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe and a 2007 Honda CR-V were traveling southbound when the Hyundai’s driver lost control of the vehicle and struck the rear of the Honda.
The impact of the collision sent the Hyundai off the roadway off the roadway where it struck a tree.
The 17-year-old Orlando boy driving the Hyundai was transported to Osceola Regional Medical Center, where he died while receiving treatment.
The Honda driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the police.
