Othello, WA – Two people were injured in a head-on crash on State Route 17 near Othello on Saturday, according to Washington State Patrol.

According to Washington State Patrol, 19-year-old Moses Lake man Demetrio Robles was driving north on State Route 17 when he crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Nancy Cortes from Othello.
Cortes and her passenger 47-year-old Aquilino Cortes, also from Othello, were transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland with unspecified injuries.
According to WHP, Robles fled the scene on foot but was later arrested. Robles faces several charges including felony hit-and-run, driving with a suspended license, and driving without a required ignition interlock. The head-on collision remains under investigation.
