Tucson, AZ – A 29-year-old man, identified as Michael Henry Dooling, died in a two-vehicle collision on Tucson’s south side Monday morning, according to Tucson PD.

The deadly crash was reported around 10 a.m. on June 16 at the intersection of East Valencia Road and South Alvernon Way.

Reportedly, a tow truck was stopped in the middle lane of Valencia Road at a red light when it was rear-ended by a westbound Chevy Colorado operated by Michael Dooling on E Valencia Road.

Dooling died in the crash.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Dooling was driving at over 45 mph when he crashed into the tow truck.

Authorities said, Dooling, who may have been impaired, had been swerving on I-10 and on Valencia Road before the deadly crash.

The crash remains under investigation and no additional information is available.
