Chicago, IL. – 84-year-old Maria Ochoa Flores was killed after a traffic collision on Chicago’s Southwest Side on Saturday afternoon, according to a police report.
The accident occurred in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood at 5.30 p.m. May 24, near South Archer Avenue, near 53rd Place.
Per the police dispatch, a silver car was heading northeast on Archer Avenue and was making a left turn before it was hit by a gray sedan traveling southwest.

Bystanders rushed to assist Flores before rushing her to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where she died.
The silver vehicle driver, a 26-year-old man and the gray vehicle driver, a 63-year-old man, were not hurt in the collision.
Authorities said the silver car driver was cited.
An investigation by the Wentworth Area investigators is ongoing.
