Peoria, IL. – A 36-year-old male pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run collision on Wednesday morning in Peoria, according to the Peoria Police Department.
The accident occurred a while after 6:00 a.m. on January 28, in the 1200 block of North Sheridan Road near the Columbia Terrace intersection.
Police said the man was walking northbound on Sheridan when he was struck. The vehicle fled the scene before police arrived.
The man was transported to the hospital but will recover.
There is no description of the suspect or the car.
An investigation is underway.
