Police said the man was struck by a car heading northbound on Kedzie from 175 Street.
Hazel Crest, IL. – A 79-year-old man was killed after a pedestrian accident on Monday evening in Hazel Crest, according to the Hazel Crest Police Department.
The accident happened a while before 7:30 p.m. on September 15 at the 174 Street and Kedzie Avenue intersection.
Police said the man was struck by a car heading northbound on Kedzie from 175 Street.
The involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
The man was rushed to a local hospital where he died.
The motorist was not arrested or charged after the collision.
An investigation is ongoing.
