Troopers said a Ford 250 was trying to turn eastbound onto County Road 721 from State Road in front of a Ford F150 heading west on SR-70.

Highlands County, FL. – One man, 18 years, was killed and four others hurt after a multi-vehicle accident on Friday in Highlands County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred on February 6th, on eastbound State Road 70 and County Road 721.
Troopers said a Ford 250 was trying to turn eastbound onto County Road 721 from State Road in front of a Ford F150 heading west on SR-70.
The F150 crashed into the Ford 250 in the intersection causing a Ford Ranger to slam into the F150’s rear.
The F150 then crashed into the guardrail, entered a grass ditch and rolled over. One passenger was thrown out of the car.
The 18-year-old Ranger driver was rushed to Lawnwood Medical Center with critical injuries. The driver later succumbed to their injuries.
The 19-year-old Ford 250 driver, 21-year-old Ford F150 driver, and two F150 passengers sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital.
No other information regarding this crash was provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
