Orland Park, IL. – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car on Monday afternoon in Orland.

According to Orland Park police, the accident happened around 3:45 p.m. in the 15400 block of 94th Avenue.

18-year-old Mamoun Hakim was riding a motorcycle southbound when he crashed into a car that had pulled out from a driveway to cross southbound lanes and turn northbound.

A second motorcyclist laid down his bike to avoid a collision.

Hakim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

The second motorcyclist was injured and taken to Northwestern Memorial Palos Hospital.

The driver of the car was unhurt.

More details about the accident were not released.
