Palm Beach County, FL. – Louis Vanegas-Valez, 71, was killed after a multi-car collision on Tuesday morning in Palm Beach.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on June 15, near the South Military Trail and Westgate Avenue intersection.

Authorities said a car did not yield to a stop sign at a red light near the junction and caused a chain-reaction crash with six other cars that were stopped at the red light and heading northbound in various lanes on South Military Trail.

Louis A. Vanegas-Valez was killed in the collision, five days before his 72nd birthday.

Two drivers in other cars were hurt and taken to local hospitals for treatment.

No other details regarding this crash were provided.

An investigation is underway.
