Josephine County, OR. – One person was killed, and another was injured in a car crash on Tuesday morning in Josephine County.

According to the Oregon State Police, the crash happened on Highway 199 near milepost 10 at around 8:50 a.m.

A northbound Toyota Tundra was traveling on the highway when the driver reportedly swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway.

The driver lost control, and the vehicle left the roadway and rolled multiple times.

A Salem woman was killed in the accident.

A Eugene man was injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation by Oregon State Police, who were assisted at the scene by Grants Pass Fire, Rural Metro, and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
