Montgomery, IL. – A man was killed in a car accident on Wednesday evening in Montgomery.

According to Montgomery police, the accident happened around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Route 31 and Caterpillar Drive.

Jason Messick of Oswego was driving a black Nissan sedan south on Route 31 when he collided with a semi-truck that was trying to make a left turn onto Caterpillar Drive.

The sedan became pinned under the truck.

Messick was pronounced dead on the scene.

More details about the accident were not released.

The Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team (KCART) and Illinois State Police are investigating the accident.
