A passenger in the RV was taken to the hospital with serious injuries

Hobart, IN. – One person died in a multi-vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon in Hobart.
According to Indiana State Police, the crash occurred on Interstate 65 near 73rd Avenue, north of U.S. 30.
A former school bus, which had been converted to an RV, slammed into a bridge support under the 73rd Avenue overpass. An SUV and a pickup truck were also involved in the accident.
The RV driver succumbed to the injuries at the scene.
A passenger in the RV was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The pickup driver was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
