Fort Wayne, IN. – An elderly man lost his life in a car crash on Saturday evening in Fort Wayne.
According to the Allen County Sheriff Department, the crash happened around 7:15 p.m. on I-69 just south of the Goshen Road exit near mile marker 308.
The elderly man was driving a pickup truck northbound on I-69 when he veered off the east side of the roadway and struck a tree.
The man was extricated from the vehicle by medics and was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
