Portland, OR. – Authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that happened in Portland on Sunday night.
The accident happened around 11:20 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest Yeon Avenue and Northwest 44th Avenue, according to Portland police.
Officers responded to a call of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle at the intersection.
Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a local hospital where they later died.
The name of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
The driver stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The Portland Police Bureau Major Crash Team is investigating the cause of the accident.
