Gulf County, FL. – A 40-year-old woman of Crystal River, Florida, was killed following a deadly rollover collision on Saturday night in Gulf County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at about 11:44 p.m. January 10, on County Road 381, east of Shady Drive.
Troopers said the woman was driving a pickup truck westbound when she left the roadway for unknown reasons. The woman tried to re-enter the roadway, the driver overcorrected, leaving the other side of the roadway and lost control of her vehicle.
The truck then began to roll over severally and threw the driver from the car.
A Gulf County deputy performed CPR on the driver before the Gulf County EMS arrived.
The driver was declared dead by the EMS.
A 30-year-old female of Wewahitchka suffered severe injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
