Carson City, NV. – A woman was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Wednesday afternoon in Carson City.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident happened on the northbound I-580 between North Carson Street and Eastlake Boulevard at around 5:25 p.m.
A woman was walking on the highway when a car traveling north on the same roadway struck her.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the woman was not immediately disclosed.
The motorist fled the scene and was yet to be located.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
