DeKalb County, IN. – A man was hospitalized after being injured in a collision involving a semi-truck in Butler, DeKalb County.

According to the Butler Police Department, the accident happened around 4:11 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 61 and County Road 40.

The Auburn man was driving his 2009 Saturn Aura westbound on County Road 40 and was driving through the intersection when he was struck on the passenger side by a southbound 2000 Freightliner.

The man sustained head and chest injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The 30-year-old Michigan man driving the semi-truck was unhurt.
