Indianapolis, IN. – A 4-year-old boy died and his father was critically injured after being struck by a car in Indianapolis on Wednesday, May 14.
According to the police, the accident happened at the intersection of State Avenue and Raymond Street.
A man was riding a bicycle with 4-year-old Alan Marcelo Salas-Garcia in a trailer seat when they were hit by a speeding Dodge Charger.
The Charger also struck a gray Honda.
Salas-Garcia was killed in the accident.
The child’s father was critically injured in the accident and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The female driver of the gray Honda suffered a broken neck and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Charger, 22-year-old Danny Wimbleduff, fled the scene but was later located and arrested for reckless homicide.
More details about the accident were not released.
