McMinnville, OR. – 46-year-old Audra Ackerman died after being struck by a car as she walked her dog in McMinnville on Saturday evening.
According to McMinnville police, the accident happened around 5:34 p.m. at the intersection of Southwest Old Sheridan Road and Southwest Cypress Lane.
The McMinnville woman was walking her dog in the area and were hit by a white Ford F-250 traveling westbound on Cypress Lane.
Ackerman was killed in the accident.
The driver of the car, 68-year-old Jose Huerta of McMinnville, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
