Andrew Loretta Identified as Pedestrian Killed in Crash in Shenandoah Park, Miami

Police said Lorreta was struck by a speeding driver, later identified as 36-year-old Andres Roberto Fiallo Estupinan.

Miami, FL. – 50-year-old Andrew Loretta was identified as a jogger killed in a pedestrian accident near  Shenandoah Park in Miami on Tuesday evening, according to Miami police.

The accident happened a while before 7:00 p.m. on Southwest 21st Avenue near Southwest 18th Street.

Police said Lorreta was struck by a speeding driver, later identified as 36-year-old Andres Roberto Fiallo Estupinan.

Lorreta was thrown more than 170 feet following the crash.

He was declared dead at the scene.

Estupinan also hit a parked ice cream truck injuring a woman inside. His vehicle then collided with a gray Toyota and a white Mercedes-Benz SUV nearby.

Estupinan fled the scene but was caught by witnesses in Shenandoah Park and held until the arrival of the police.

Estupinan and the woman were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Fiallo Estupinan is facing charges of leaving the scene of a crash causing death and leaving the scene of an accident-causing serious bodily injury.
