Troopers said the Webster man was heading eastbound in a Chevy Silverado and was towing a Toyota RAV4 with a tow-strap. The low strap was disconnected, and he circled back around to reconnect the second vehicle.

Bushnell, FL. – A 73-year-old Webster man was killed after a traffic collision on Monday evening in Bushnell, Sumter County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at 7:40 p.m. on March 16 on eastbound State Route 48.
Troopers said the Webster man was heading eastbound in a Chevy Silverado and was towing a Toyota RAV4 with a tow-strap. The low strap was disconnected, and he circled back around to reconnect the second vehicle.
He was under the RAV4 trying to re-establish the connection when an Audi A5 heading eastbound on State Road 48 failed to stop for the two other cars and struck the rear of the RAV4 pushing it into the Chevy Silverado.
The Webster man was declared dead at the crash site.
The Audi driver, a 54-year-old Bushnell man, sustained minor injuries. An 18-year-old male occupant of the RAV4 sustained minor injuries.
A 10-year-old Bushnell girl, Chevy Silverado’s occupant, sustained minor injuries.
No additional information regarding this crash was released.
