Lake County, FL. – A 65-year-old Apopka man was killed following a single-vehicle accident on Saturday night in Lake County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 7:49 p.m. on July 26, on State Road 429 around mile marker 44, near Mount Plymouth.

Troopers confirmed a sedan ran off the roadway for reasons still under investigation, entered the center divider and hit an overpass median pillar.

The man driving the sedan was declared dead at the crash site.

Troopers believe that the man was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
