Troopers said a Pensacola officer tried to stop a vehicle operated by a 31-year-old Pensacola woman when the car fled the scene and struck another car vehicle approximately 30 seconds later.
Pensacola, FL. – A 48-year-old Pensacola man was killed after a traffic collision on Tuesday evening in Pensacola, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at T and Avery Street on March 24.
Troopers said a Pensacola officer tried to stop a vehicle operated by a 31-year-old Pensacola woman when the car fled the scene and struck another car vehicle approximately 30 seconds later.
The driver of the second car, a 48-year-old Pensacola man, was declared dead at the crash site.
The 31-year-old woman sustained severe injuries, while her passenger, a 29-year-old Pensacola Police woman, was hospitalized with critical injuries.
Troopers said the woman ran a stop sign causing the crash. It was not immediately known if the officer was pursuing the suspect car or not.
No additional information concerning this crash was provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
