Two children inside the Impala were taken to Elkhart General Hospital with serious injuries.

Elkhart, IN. – Multiple people, including two children, were injured in a car accident on Saturday evening in Elkhart County.
According to the police, the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Coolidge Avenue near Roys Avenue.
23-year-old Julio Martinez of South Bend was driving a Chevy Impala west on Coolidge Avenue when he failed to yield the right of way and crashed into a Ford Escape driven by 34-year-old Aprille Walden of Elkhart.
The Ford Escape flipped over and landed on its side after the collision.
Two children inside the Impala were taken to Elkhart General Hospital with serious injuries.
Walden and a passenger were transported to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved in the accident.
More details about the accident were not released.
