Police said the 19-year-old driver was driving a Dodge Charger at a high rate of speed when he veered off the roadway and slammed into several trees.

Manatee County, FL. – 19-year-old Ellenton male driver and 19-year-old man from Parrish were killed after a car accident on Saturday morning in Manatee County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 2:15 a.m. on Silverleaf Avenue.
Police said the 19-year-old driver was driving a Dodge Charger at a high rate of speed when he veered off the roadway and slammed into several trees.
The driver and the 19-year-old man died in the collision.
Two passengers, a 16-year-old girl from New York and a 17-year-old boy from Parrish sustained critical injuries and were listed in critical condition.
The 16-year-old girl was the only one wearing a seatbelt at the time.
An investigation is underway.
