Manhattan, IL. – Two people were hurt, one critically hurt late Tuesday afternoon in Manhattan, according to the Manhattan Fire Protection District.
The accident happened at around 4:35 p.m. on February 17, on Manhattan-Monee Road.
Fire officials said two vehicles crashed in unclear circumstances.
Two people were hurt due to the collision. One driver was extricated and flown to a local trauma center with critical injuries.
The second driver was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities closed Manhattan-Monee Road between S. Schoolhouse and Kankakee roads to give way to an on-scene investigation.
