Edwardsville, IL. – Two people were hurt following a two-vehicle collision on Friday afternoon in Edwardsville, according to Illinois State Police.
The accident happened at around 2:48 p.m. on southbound Interstate 55 near Edwardsville.
Police said two vehicles including a passenger car collided for unknown reasons.
The passenger vehicle rolled over in the center median closing southbound lanes of Interstate 55 following the collision.
Two persons sustained injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
