The man driving the Kia and his passenger were killed in the accident.

Sahuarita, AZ. – Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Sahuarita on Thursday evening, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD).

The fatal collision happened at about 6:15 p.m. on South Nogales Highway near milepost 53.

PCSD said a Kia Soul was traveling southbound when it crossed the centerline, for unknown reasons, and collided head-on with a northbound Chrysler Pacifica.

A Toyota C-HR that was traveling southbound behind the Kia was unable to avoid the collision and was hit.

A northbound Ford F650 was also involved in the collision, but no injuries were reported in that vehicle.

The 56-year-old man driving the Kia and his passenger, a 61-year-old, were killed in the accident.

PCSD is investigating the accident.
