Scottsdale, AZ – One person was killed early Saturday morning in a pedestrian accident in Scottsdale, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened just after 5:30 a.m. on July 19 near Scottsdale Road and Fanfol Drive south of Shea Boulevard.
Police said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle outside of a crosswalk.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.
The involved driver remained at the scene after the accident.
Speed and alcohol were not factors in the accident.
The accident closed Southbound Scottsdale Road at Mountain View Road for several hours.
The police are investigating the accident.
