Ocala, FL. – One person was killed and two others were hospitalized in critical condition after a head-on collision in Marion County on Saturday night.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, the crash happened near the intersection of Southwest 49th Avenue and Southwest 117th Place just after 11 p.m.
A 35-year-old Ocala man was driving a car southbound when he drifted into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a second vehicle.
The Ocala man was transported to the hospital in critical condition, while his two passengers were hospitalized with serious injuries.
The driver of the northbound car, a 70-year-old man from Ocala, died at the hospital.
One passenger in the 2nd vehicle is in critical condition.
