A 22-year-old male passenger in the blue sedan was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he later died.

Chicago, IL. – At least one person died in a car accident early Sunday morning in Chicago.
According to the Chicago Police Department, the accident happened in the 3800 block of West Lake Street at around 4 a.m.
A blue Ford sedan disregarded a traffic light and hit a red Chevy sedan.
A 22-year-old male passenger in the blue sedan was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he later died.
The 20-year-old man driving the blue sedan and his two 20-year-old male passengers were taken to Stroger Hospital with unknown injuries.
The Chevy driver, a 37-year-old woman, and the passenger, a 35-year-old woman, refused medical treatment at the scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
The Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
