Albuquerque, N.M. – A pedestrian was killed Saturday night in a hit-and-run accident in Albuquerque, according to the Albuquerque Police Department.
The deadly accident happened at about 9:00 p.m., July 5, on Coors Boulevard just north of the intersection of Quail Road NW.
Police said a white Nissan Kicks was traveling northbound in the center lane when a male pedestrian ran into traffic heading eastbound to westbound. The Nissan driver tried to avoid hitting the pedestrian but ended up hitting him.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
No additional information regarding the accident was available.
The crash remains under investigation.
