Clatsop County, OR – One person was killed and three others were seriously injured in a head-on traffic collision on Highway 26 in Clatsop County Saturday afternoon.
The deadly crash happened on June 14, 2025, at 3:58 p.m. on Highway 26, near milepost 2.
Authorities said a 16-year-old boy was driving a Toyota Avalon eastbound on Highway 26 when for some reason, he crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound Toyota Camry driven by a 50-year-old Washington man.
The Washington man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The juvenile driver and his two passengers were transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
The highway was shut down for about seven hours during the on-scene investigation.
The accident remains under investigation.
