Avondale, AZ – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after getting into a traffic collision while trying to flee an Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper near Avondale on Tuesday afternoon, according to the authorities.

According to the report, a DPS trooper attempted to stop a motorist for speeding but the rider failed to stop and fled the area.
The motorcyclist, who was traveling westbound on I-10, slammed into the rear of a semi-truck.
The rider was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
Authorities are conducting an investigation into the collision.
