Delaney suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to St. Louis University Hospital where he later died
Edwardsville, IL. – Michael Delaney, 51, has died following a motorcycle accident that happened on Sunday in Edwardsville.
According to the Edwardsville Police Department, the accident happened around 4:18 p.m. on Troy Road near Edwardsville Crossing.
Delaney was riding a motorcycle southbound on Troy Road when he was hit by a vehicle that was making a left turn onto Edwardsville Crossing from northbound Troy Road
Delaney suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to St. Louis University Hospital where he died on March 19.
The second driver was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
