Palm Coast, FL – A man was killed in a head-on collision in Palm Coast on Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on Belle Terre Boulevard near Kankakee Trail at about 6:40 a.m.
A 65-year-old Palm Coast man was driving an SUV southbound on Belle Terre Boulevard when he collided head-on with an oncoming pickup truck that drifted across the yellow line.
The SUV driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other driver, a 19-year-old Interlachen man, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
The FHP reported that both drivers were not wearing their seatbelts.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
