Brooksville, FL. – An 11-year-old girl was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle after being dropped off from school on Tuesday afternoon in Hernando County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Eskimo Curlew Road, north of Osprey Avenue.
The 11-year-old was walking northbound on Eskimo Curlew Road when she was hit by a Toyota Corolla driven by a 65-year-old Brooksville woman.
They said the crash happened after a school bus drop-off.
The girl suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
