Las Vegas, NV. – 24-year-old Clay Weeks has been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as the motorcyclist who died in a collision on Tuesday morning in Las Vegas.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened around 7:55 a.m. at the intersection of S. El Capitan Way and Fawn Grove Drive.

A 27-year-old man was driving a 2008 GMC Envoy east on Fawn Grove Drive and was beginning to make a left turn when he collided with a 2009 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Night that was traveling south on El Capitan.

The motorcycle overturned, ejecting Weeks onto the roadway.

Weeks was transported to the University Medical Center’s Trauma Unit in critical condition. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
