St. Petersburg, FL. – One person was killed in a suspected DUI collision on Sunday night in St. Petersburg.

According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, the accident happened around 8 p.m. in the 1700 block of 34th Street N near 17th Avenue N.

33-year-old Kyle Hill, of Pinellas Park, was driving his SUV south on 34th Street N when he collided with a southbound car driven by a 35-year-old St. Petersburg man.

The impact of the car sent the second car off the roadway, where it hit a concrete pole, which snapped and landed on top of the car.

The SUV continued south before it veered off the roadway, where it struck a tree and overturned multiple times.

Arislenne Blanco, 28, of St. Petersburg, who was a passenger in the car, was killed in the accident.

Hill and the driver of the second car were transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital with serious injuries.

Hill was charged with driving under the influence manslaughter and vehicle homicide.
