Brevard County, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol has identified three people who died when a vehicle being pursued by authorities crashed with two tow trucks along Interstate 95 in Brevard County on March 28.
The victims, identified as Alicia Maria Carter, 31; Eleasya Fulton, 24; and Leon Holmes, 41, were all passengers in a vehicle operated by Vernon Hodges, 41, of Sebastian.
Reportedly, FHP tried to stop Holmes after he reached speeds of up to 110 mph. Holmes failed to stop and was fleeing the authorities heading northbound on I-95 when he exited at Exit 201 in Cocoa and collided with two tow trucks on the side of the offramp.
All three passengers died in the incident. One person standing next to one of the trucks sustained serious injuries.

Brevard County, FL – Three people were killed when a pursuit ended in a traffic collision in Brevard County on Friday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The collision took place on Interstate 95 near the ramp to King Street on Friday, March 28.
According to FHP, a 41-year-old Sebastian man was fleeing from authorities traveling northbound on I-95 when he exited on the ramp to King Street and collided with two tow trucks on the side of the offramp.
A man and two women in the suspect’s vehicle, all passengers, were killed in the collision
A person who was standing next to one of the trucks was transported with serious injuries.
There was no update on the condition of the driver who was fleeing the authorities.
The incident is under investigation.
