Police said a white Kia Sedona was heading south on the highway near the junction of Highway 140 when it was hit by a silver Chrysler PT Cruiser trying to turn left into northbound Highway 39. The Chrysler was stopped at the stop sign and failed to yield the right of southbound traffic.

Klamath County, OR. – A 71-year-old Bonanza woman was killed after a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday morning in Portland, according to the Oregon State Police.
The accident happened a while after 11:15 a.m. on June 16, on Highway 39 near milepost 39.
Police said a white Kia Sedona was heading south on the highway near the junction of Highway 140 when it was hit by a silver Chrysler PT Cruiser trying to turn left into northbound Highway 39. The Chrysler was stopped at the stop sign and failed to yield the right of southbound traffic.
The Chrysler driver, a 71-year-old Bonanza woman, was declared dead at the crash site.
The Kia driver, as well as two child passengers sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital.
The incident remains under investigation.
